Crompton Moor & Pingot Quarry Waterfall

Crompton Moor, above the town of Shaw, is a unique area with great wildlife and an impressive waterfall which flows into Pingot Quarry

There’s an interesting and varied variety of birds including kestrel, grey partridge, green woodpecker, willow warbler, curlew, skylark and meadow pipit. Visitors can also see foxes, weasels, common shrews, stoats and hares.
