Bury Transport Museum

Bury Transport Museum is operated by the East Lancashire Railway that operates over 12 miles between Heywood Bury and Rawtenstall. The Museum is usually open when the railway is in operation. There is an extensive historical transport collection in the building including Locomotives, Rolling Stock, Buses, Horse Tram, Waggons, Fire Engine, Road Roller, Lorries as well as small exhibits, an operational model railway layout and history of transport in East Lancashire. Events are regularly held in the Museum often in conjunction with the ELR such as Days out with Thomas, Haloween, Peppa Pig and Santa Trains
