We’re so glad to see that this ‘Summer’ weather hasn’t dampened all your walking spirits! It was wonderful to see so many of you on our guided walks from Manchester to Sale Water Park, and Altrincham to Dunham Massey or Stretford the other weekend, keep tagging us in your pictures on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter, we love to see them.

In this month’s update, we’ve an exciting announcement about our collaboration with the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, and information on upcoming walks that you won’t want to miss.

And if you’re looking for something to keep the little ones happy this summer holiday, don’t forget to download our Nature Bingo card, take them on a wander, and see how many things you can spot along the GM Ringway. It’s a great way to get them some fresh air and keep them occupied.

Pilot weekend a success, despite the rain!

Our guided walks on the 15-16 July were an absolute blast and we can’t thank you enough for joining us in your droves! What a fantastic weekend filled with laughter, joy, and breathtaking sights it was. And to all of our volunteers, you deserve a big round of applause and thank you for your excellent leadership.

We’ve had some amazing feedback already and if you joined us, we’d love to hear from you too. Tell us your thoughts.

Here’s what one person told us: “Andrew was a great walk leader, giving good, clear information at the start and during the walk. He told us about bail-out points and other key information. The walk was also led at a good pace, meaning it wasn’t too fast for me even though health issues now limit how fast I can walk whilst talking.”
